DESCRIPTION:CAAM/In Conversation: Black Performance in Contemporary Art \nIn Conversation: Black Performance in Contemporary Art\nInspired by Derrick Adams’s Networkexhibition\, dancer-choreographer\nTaisha Ciara Paggett will discuss the history of black performance\ntraditions from the early 1960s to today. She will introduce audiences\nto three generations of artists\, including Adams\, David Hammons\,\nMaren Hassinger\, Senga Nengudi\, and Theaster Gates\, among others.\nPaggett\, whose works and collaborations have been presented at venues\nworldwide\, is the co-founder of the dance journal itch.
