SUMMARY:Phone Charm Lab with Design Hive
DESCRIPTION:Look closely\, then make something your own! Inspired by Sadie Barnette: How to Fly\, this interactive workshop invites participants to explore the exhibition through observation and design. After a short guided “looking” activity in the Atrium\, guests will choose colors\, patterns\, and textures from the installation that resonate with them. Participants will then create a custom phone charm or keychain using beads\, cord\, and charms. With optional design tips from Design Hive facilitators\, guests can experiment with pattern\, rhythm\, and balance while crafting a personal keepsake inspired by the artwork. \nDesign Hive is a Los Angeles–based creative education studio that designs hands-on maker workshops and STEAM experiences for museums\, schools\, and community organizations. Their programs invite participants of all ages to explore creativity through accessible\, materials-based design activities.
