DESCRIPTION:A spectacular realization of Art & Science Collide\, PST ART will be open to the public with WE ARE: Explosion Event for PST ART\, a newly commissioned monumental artwork by world-renowned artist Cai Guo-Qiang presented by Getty at the iconic LA Memorial Coliseum. Composed of daytime fireworks – a signature form of Cai’s art that uses organic\, sustainable pigments and dyes rather than pyrotechnics. This work will mark the first event of its kind in US History! \nWE ARE is a multi-act performance featuring nearly 10\,000 twinkling mini firework shells installed throughout the seating bowl of the Coliseum. \nThe drones will be ascending and descending from Christmas Tree Lane East. The Firework fall out zone will be at Christmas Tree Lane West\, west portion of the top level of the Blue Structure\, South edge of the Yellow Lot. \nThere will also be a intermittent road closure on S. Coliseum Dr. Road Closure hours from 6:05pm – 6:30pm.
