About Us
Exposition Park is a gem located in the heart of Los Angeles and one of California’s most visited destinations, with nearly 8 million visitors annually. It is an urban park that is home to some of Southern California’s most recognizable sports, entertainment, cultural, educational, science, artistic, and historical landmarks. Exposition Park was established as an agricultural fairground in 1872 and was subsequently transformed in 1910 into the park we see today.
The over 100-year-old state property is home to nine notable institutions, including two state museums–the California African American Museum and the California Science Center; the Los Angeles City Park and Recreation EXPO Center and historic Rose Garden, the Alexander Science Center (LAUSD) School, the Bank of Montreal (LAFC) Stadium, the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, the Los Angeles County Natural History Museum, and the upcoming Lucas Museum of Narrative Art.
Uniquely woven into the lives of all Southern California residents, Exposition Park is Los Angeles.
