The exhibition California Bound: Slavery on the New Frontier, 1848–1865 includes the well-known but seldom-depicted story of Biddy Mason. Draw your own storyboard of Mason’s journey to freedom and her rise to become one Los Angeles’s richest women and philanthropists. Ages 7 and up.
