CAAM Screening and Panel: Artist and Mother

Do you want to have a successful career or do you want to have children? Many women artists starting out still hear that they must choose one or the other. The KCET Artbound documentary Artist and Mother follows four artists, Rebecca Campbell, Andrea Chung, Tanya Aguiñiga, and Kenyatta A.C. Hinkle, who defy this thinking. Not only do they juggle career and family but they have also found inspiring ways to use the materials or images of motherhood in their art. Join us for a screening of Artist and Mother followed by a panel with all four artists—three of whom have exhibited their work at CAAM—moderated by journalist Jori Finkel, co-producer of the film.
