Independent curator jill moniz and renowned sculptor and mixed-media artist Alison Saar
discuss the exhibition LA Blacksmith and African diaspora metalwork practices in the 21st
century. Saar often covers the bodies of her sculptural subjects in discarded tin ceiling tiles,
telling stories about race and resilience through her work with metal.
