FreeGems and Minerals, Unearthed!
Investigate the fascinating world of Mineral Sciences! Minerals, rocks, gems, ores, and even meteorites provide invaluable information, from how we view the past to technologies of the future. For this Homeschool Day, look closer at our world-class collections, talk with museum scientists, and learn more about the over 2,000 specimens in our world famous Gems and Minerals Hall, including our gem vault’s newest addition, “The Art of the Jewel.”
The Natural History Museum is proud to offer four days each school year when Homeschoolers can come free of charge! Each Homeschool Day has an assigned theme with free drop-in activities designed to help you and your students get the most out of our exhibits.
